Eat Your Water:
What other liquids are recommended to help with healthy cell turnover?
Carrot juice and beet juice are great. Also, any pure fruit and/or vegetable smoothies/juice that do not have any added sugar.
What are some other effective hydrating supplements/vitamins?
To have connective tissue, this is predominately water, your body needs: glucosamine, amino acids, trace minerals, b vitamins and antioxidants. This is the technical answer! From a purely vitamin/supplement standpoint, there’s not just one that helps, however – coenzyme q10 – is necessary for the body to produce energy which is essential.
Awaken Your Body:
What advice would you give someone who is recovering from injuries on how to engage in movement to awaken the body?
First, follow your doctor’s orders and do not engage in anything physical if advised not to. Ways to awaken your body with minimal movement include sound baths, meditation and deep breathing exercises.
Why do you consider sitting to be the new smoking?
Sitting causes you to have a very sedentary lifestyle – this is associated with chronic disease. The more you sit, the less you move, you’re creating a system for chronic disease and ultimately increasing your chances of developing something.
Be Kind to Your Mind:
Why is positive self-talk so important in overall health?
You can tell people to do XYZ, but they won’t necessarily do it; it’s only when they decide to do it themselves, is when they will. So, encouraging positive energy gives them the strength to do just that.
How do you think social media has contributed to negative self-talk?
Because everything is available at our fingertips, this again gives us a tendency to have more of a sedentary lifestyle, which can lead to negative self-talk and more severely, depression.
What are some tips on how to unplug without feeling disconnected?
Set screen limits; set a schedule for time away from the screen. When you go to bed, put your phone, laptop, etc., in a different room or turn it off completely. Also, while at this present moment we are being advised to avoid social gatherings in order to stay healthy, typically during a social gathering, you would want to put your phone away and engage in conversation.
Nourish Your Skin:
It is said that dry brushing can aid in lymphatic draining, how is this beneficial to overall skin health?
It’s beneficial because it encourages stimulation, which creates better circulation and ultimately helps to detox the skin from toxins.
